‘Italy has submitted its candidature for the Human Rights Council for the 2026-2028 term.
The protection and promotion of human rights is one of the main priorities of Italy’s foreign policy, based on the principles of universality, objectivity, and non-selectivity of human rights.
Italy will continue to strongly promote a constructive and inclusive approach to human rights, focusing on the ownership of local actors and cooperation with civil society organizations.’
